The Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) is used by all majority publicly funded projects. It regularly receives criticism regarding inefficiencies in its process. The aim of the reform of the CWMF is to “deliver the Government’s objectives in relation to public sector construction procurement reform”. This masterclass will look at recent reforms and how they relate to lean principles and the encouragement of lean principles in operation in public works contracting.
