This Privacy Policy pertains to the www.leanconstructionireland.ie website (the Site). Reference to “we”, “our” and “us”, etc., are references to LCi. This Privacy Policy sets out how LCi uses and protects any information that you give LCi when you use this website or which you have given through other means and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you. LCi is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website or by other means, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We do not control these third-part websites. We are not responsible for the privacy standards of those websites and are not responsible for their privacy policy.

2. COLLECTING INFORMATION

Please note that when you volunteer information we may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity Data: including name and job title.
  • Contact Data: including e-mail address.
  • Demographic Data: including post code, preferences, and interests.
  • Miscellaneous Data: Other information relevant to member surveys.

We also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data could be derived from your personal data but it is not considered personal data in law as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your data. For example, we may aggregate your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

Failure to Provide Personal Data?

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you. In this case, we may have to cancel a service you have with us but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

  • To administer LCi membership and membership fees (where applicable);
  • Communicate with members;
  • Research matters relevant to the LCi; and

  • General membership administration and membership fees (where applicable);
  • Marketing our events and other service offerings:
  • Sending emails informing members of relevant industry news, events, and activities associated with LCi and the Lean Construction community of learning and practice;

8. DATA RETENTION

  • We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

No Fee Usually Required

Time Limit to Respond

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
