I have been a member of the EI Lean Panel since about 2010 and have worked on a number of EI Supported Projects - Lean Start, Lean Plus and Lean Transformation.

I first worked on Lean Type Projects in Wang Laboratories Limerick in late 1980s in the early days of Lean when it was called World Called Manufacturing.
I led a Project Team focused on the manufacturing area.
In 1991, as Financial Controller for Pharmacia Medical Devices Ltd in Letterkenny, I was a steering committee member on a plant wide TQM project.
This project was supported by PA Consultants. This project did not achieve the desired results and in 1995 we initiated another project using another firm of Consultants, Cadwell Training and Development Ltd. The Cadwell approach was more people oriented, more emphasis on change management, and used the Deming approach to drive improvements.
In 1998, I left the manufacturing plant and worked with Cadwell as a subcontractor delivering TQM/Lean training for client companies and supporting improvement projects in those companies.
In 2000 and 2001 I trained in NLP with ITS of London (International Teaching Seminars). From ITS I received an NLP Practitioner Certificate in 2000 and an NLP Master Practitioner Certificate in 2001.
