Paul has over 21 years’ AEC sector experience on a wide range of projects at trade, management and consultancy levels. He has a BSc in Construction Management from the Dublin Institute of Technology, co-founded Lean Construction Ireland in 2014, and is an Editor of the Lean Construction Blog. Over the past three years’ he has supported dozens of international project teams on their lean journeys in two roles. Firstly, as a Lean Coach/Consultant with Umstot Project and Facility Solutions LLC in the US, and secondly as Research Fellow in the Centre for Lean Projects at Nottingham Trent University, UK. Currently, he is embedded within a UK company and is working with Professor Christine Pasquire (using action research) to design, develop and test a Lean Project Delivery System (LPDS) that addresses the root causes of disruption and delays. The Last Planner® System is the foundation of a LPDS.
